Last week, Zoe Wright, Dowdales School student competed at the Rotary Chef Competition. Zoe totally epitomised what it is to be a Dowdalian. Her food was fabulous and she was ranked third overall.  Feedback from top chef judge Steven Doherty was really positive. Well done Zoe – we are all really proud of you!

Here at Dowdales School it is show week and we have had four fabulous performances of the Circle of Life. It was a gloomy and wet day when Dowdales School visited Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage, in Grasmere on Tuesday, for a workshop with poet Katie Hale. Inspired by nature, students from our ‘Untrodden Ways’ poetry group captured the essence of Wordsworth’s Romanticism: students created beautiful poetry, by candlelight in his front room, as the fire crackled.

Year 10 Dowdales School students are living their ‘best lives’ in Aosta, Italy, this week on our annual ski trip. A very happy St. Nicholas from Dowdales School students in Munich, Germany. As part of this educational visit students are working with our partner School – Werner Heisenberg Gymnasium.
