It was a gloomy and wet day when Dowdales School visited Wordsworth’s Dove Cottage, in Grasmere on Tuesday, for a workshop with poet Katie Hale. Inspired by nature, students from our ‘Untrodden Ways’ poetry group captured the essence of Wordsworth’s Romanticism: students created beautiful poetry, by candlelight in his front room, as the fire crackled.
