Thanks to generous funding from EMI, we were delighted to offer students six days of exciting music workshops led by visiting Music Director Ben McQuigg from the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Ben, a freelance Music Director with an impressive portfolio of productions, has worked on a variety of acclaimed projects, including West End performances of Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. During his time with us, he worked with students from across all year groups, sharing his expertise and enthusiasm for performance and music-making.
Throughout the workshops, students developed their singing technique, explored performance skills and rehearsed pieces in preparation for our upcoming summer concert. The sessions provided an inspiring opportunity for students to learn from an experienced industry professional and to build confidence in their musical abilities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ben for all his hard work, energy and encouragement throughout the workshops. Our students approached every session with enthusiasm and commitment and they were fantastic ambassadors for our school. We look forward to showcasing all their hard work at the summer concert, taking place on Thursday 16th July.
