A group of students travelled to Stratford this week to watch the RSC’s production of The BFG — and what an unforgettable experience it was.
Gather your chiddlers to see Roald Dahl’s unforgettable story come to life this winter. Tom Wells’ magical new adaptation is directed by RSC Co-Artistic Director Daniel Evans.
The production was filled with imagination, heart, and pure theatrical brilliance. Breathtaking puppetry, inventive staging, and expressive performances transported us straight into the world of giants, dreams and wonder.
Our students also took part in a deeply insightful workshop led by RSC mentors Esther Leith and Ibraheem Toure. The group were completely immersed in the creativity Esther and Ibs inspired — exploring new worlds and perspectives, shaping stories in ways they had never imagined. Thank you for giving them such a powerful and inspiring creative space.
Our Head of Performing Arts, Mrs Waddington, reflected on the experience:
“BFG is a childhood favourite of our family; the puppetry and magic were beautifully choreographed. It made me look at this story and theatre on a different level and reminded me to always consider the world through the eyes of a child — it keeps us alive.”
We’re so grateful to the Royal Shakespeare Company for bringing this magical production to life — and for giving our students a truly unforgettable day of storytelling, imagination and inspiration.
