We were delighted to welcome Year 5 and 6 children and their families to our Open Evening on Wednesday 30 September. It was wonderful to see so many families exploring our school and getting a glimpse of what life is like as part of Team Dowdales.
There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the evening, with our subject departments bringing learning to life through a wide range of fun and interactive activities. From getting creative and exploring science to trying out activities in our Sports Hall, there was plenty for our future Dowdalians to discover.
A huge thank you to our Team Dowdales staff and student helpers who helped to make the evening such a success, welcoming families and showcasing all that our school has to offer.
A special mention must go to our wonderful student guides, who played a huge part in the evening. They were our ambassadors throughout the event, welcoming and greeting families, showing our Year 5 and 6 pupils around the school and answering their questions about life at Dowdales. Their confidence, enthusiasm and pride in their school really shone through and they were fantastic representatives of Team Dowdales.
It was lovely to see so many happy faces exploring the school and we hope everyone enjoyed discovering a little more about our school community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us – we loved welcoming you to Dowdales!
Once a Dowdalian, always a Dowdalian
