From powerful waterfalls to steaming geothermal springs, every day brought new and exciting experiences that deepened their understanding of this unique landscape.
Exploring Iceland’s Incredible Geography 🌍
Students have had the opportunity to visit some of Iceland’s most breathtaking locations, witnessing firsthand the dynamic forces that shape the Earth. Their adventure included:
🌉 The Bridge Between Continents – Standing between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, experiencing the power of plate tectonics in action.
🌋 The Lava Exhibition Centre – Learning about Iceland’s volcanic activity and how it has shaped the landscape over time.
💨 Geothermal Hot Springs & Geysers – Seeing the earth’s energy at work, with steaming hot springs and an erupting geyser in the famous Golden Circle.
❄️ Glacier Visit & Snow Hike – Experiencing the raw beauty of Iceland’s icy terrain while trekking through snow-covered landscapes.
💦 Spectacular Waterfalls – Witnessing the sheer power of Iceland’s iconic waterfalls, including the breathtaking Gullfoss.
🏙 Exploring Reykjavik – Discovering Iceland’s vibrant capital, soaking in its rich history and culture.
🛁 Relaxing in the Secret Lagoon – Unwinding in the naturally heated geothermal waters, a perfect way to end a day of adventure!
