We provide a broad and balanced curriculum for all children, which is differentiated to meet individual needs and abilities.

Children may have Special Educational Needs throughout, or at any time, during their school career. We provide a structured, stimulating environment in which all children are valued, included, and supported to reach their full potential. Every child is unique and all children develop at a different pace. We adopt a child centred approach to their learning and we will adapt our offer to suit each individual child to enable all students to reach their potential.

At this school we respect the fact that students:

• Require a range of different teaching strategies and experiences

Dowdales School has an ethos of inclusivity, from the classroom to the broader aspects of school life. The majority of students will have their needs met through classroom arrangements and appropriate adaptive teaching. However, if a student requires additional support then we will work with all parties to ensure that all students excel and meet with success.
