The Performing Arts department is a successful and well-established faculty with over ten years’ experience as a specialist college.

At the hub of school life, we are a vibrant and thriving team, fully committed to raising student aspirations and achievement through the Arts. We enjoy a suite of purpose-built facilities including Dance and Drama studios, Music rooms equipped with ICT resources and practice spaces for instrumental tuition.

We firmly believe that all students are entitled to a rich arts provision, so KS3 students have Dance, Drama and Music lessons within the curriculum, with a range of GCSE options offered at KS4. There are a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities and many opportunities to perform in school shows as well as local, regional and national events. Youth Groups ensure that Gifted and Talented students have access to a challenging enrichment programme.

We have built up a reputation of successful partnerships with many prestigious companies, including Rambert Dance Company and the Royal Shakespeare Company. This has enabled our students to perform at The Royal Opera House, The Courtyard Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon and at the O2 Arena - experiences that will last a lifetime.
