Key Stage 4

All students learn about a range of citizenship and personal development topics as part of the Life course curriculum.

We cover a variety of aspects of sex and relationships education as well as drugs and alcohol education. We also teach political literacy and financial capability. It is important that during these lessons students prepare for their adult life as contributing members of the economy and society to which they belong.

Students also get the chance to opt for GCSE Citizenship in Year 10.

Year 10

Year 10 students continue to learn about how actions can impact daily lives though following a Lifecourse programme which combines, RS, Citizenship, PSHE and Active Living

Year 11

There is also the option of studying GCSE Citizenship. We follow the new AQA syllabus course looking at identity, democracy and Justice, Human rights and campaigning. Students get to participate in a practical citizenship campaign in the community.
