Additional funding is given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Pupil premium funding is available to both mainstream and non-mainstream schools, like special schools and pupil referral units.
With this money we could for example:
- Give students more one to one support with their English and Maths
- Further develop students’ literacy skills
- Work with students to improve their attendance
- Support students further with their social and emotional aspects of learning
During 2016 – 2017 the Pupil Premium funding is £166,708.00.
